Also, I may have over exaggerated on the numbers of anime titles I’ve seen, lol. The shelf and CD rack combined gave me a poor estimate, and some of those cases are music CDs and crap. So no longer a “rough” estimate, I’d say I do have around 30 titles.

You may be right about the “anime freak” but I call those people “hardcore otakus”. They do those stuff you mentioned plus never misses any anime conventions and gatherings around their area – sometimes even in the next country! Not to mention, cosplays!

While on the subject, currently I am watching Nodame Cantabile. Might have to make a post about it as it’s really good!

To tell you the “specific genres of my interest” that I just mentioned (if you don’t already know). Those would be shoujo titles, romantic comedies, cute love stories, action titles with awesome animation, titles with characters having elemental powers and abilities, cute and lovable characters that aren’t annoying, flashy animation, drama, fantasy with interesting story, and general slice of life. Copied right off my About Me page! ^^;

But I also watch series like hellsing and Trinity blood. I have watched about 10 series so far. To me an “anime freak” is a person that goes beyond watching the anime. They buy the action figures, video games, and even get the anime soundtrack lol.

But not that long. I mean, if I had to give a rough estimate, it would be around 60 or so. With thousands of anime titles out there, 60 is not a huge number. So I wouldn’t call myself an “anime freak”. I have a decent collection of mixed bought and downloaded. I’d have more but my internet bandwidth cap and computer hard drive is limiting me. Also, my selection of anime titles are limited to specific genres of my interest, i.e. I’m not a fan of (but not limited to) mecha and ecchi genre.
